According to some new study, women that drink a cup of coffee a day greatly reduce their risk of depression. And those that drink more than one cup a day reduce it by 15%. Apparently 1 in 5 women will be diagnosed with depression at some point in their lives, so this reduction is pretty significant.
While NPR states that more evidence is needed to verify the connection between caffeine and depression, I just conducted my own experiment. I drank coffee, and I became instantly happy. Bye bye, depression. See ya never.
